Time Out Sports Bar & Restaurant Information

Tucked along N Taylor Ave in Garden City, Time Out Sports Bar & Restaurant has that easygoing, come-as-you-are vibe that makes it feel like a local staple the moment you walk in. The location is convenient, especially if you’re already in the area running errands or catching a game nearby, and the casual exterior doesn’t try too hard-it lets the food and atmosphere do the talking.

Inside, the energy leans heavily into the sports bar side of things, with TVs positioned so you won’t miss a play no matter where you’re seated. It’s the kind of place where regulars greet each other, and even first-time visitors get a friendly nod from the staff. The atmosphere strikes a balance between lively and comfortable, making it just as suitable for a quick lunch as it is for a long evening with friends.

The menu is exactly what you’d hope for in a spot like this-classic American bar fare with enough variety to keep things interesting. Burgers are a standout, cooked to a satisfying juiciness and served with crispy fries that don’t feel like an afterthought. Wings are another crowd favorite, with sauces that range from mild and tangy to properly spicy without being overwhelming. There’s also a decent selection of sandwiches and appetizers, making it easy to mix and match if you’re sharing a table.

One thing that stands out from repeated visits is the consistency. The food arrives hot, portions are generous, and nothing feels rushed, even during busier hours. Service tends to be attentive without hovering-servers check in at the right moments and seem genuinely familiar with the menu, offering suggestions if you’re undecided. It’s the kind of service that reflects a well-run neighborhood restaurant rather than a chain operation.

Reviews from locals often highlight that same sense of reliability, and it’s easy to see why. While it may not be aiming for gourmet or trend-setting cuisine, it delivers exactly what it promises: solid comfort food, a relaxed setting, and a place where you can unwind. If there’s any limitation, it’s that the menu doesn’t stray far from traditional bar offerings, but that’s also part of its appeal for many guests who come here knowing exactly what they’re in the mood for.

For anyone looking to enjoy a laid-back meal in Garden City with good food, friendly service, and a sports-centered atmosphere, this spot fits naturally into the local dining scene without trying to reinvent it.

What People's Say About Place

Excellent breakfast! We came over from Scott City on Labor Day weekend because everything else was closed, and had the good luck of finding this place! It was a good thing, too, because we did NOT want to eat at IHOP. They had a decent selection on their breakfast menu with good portion sizes. We were very impressed with everything, and our server was the best!

I have been eating there for Years and the food is always exilant, but this one time I ordered some take out for my Girlfriend and I and the French fries were like hard sticks, but this one experience will not stop us from enjoying the Exilant food in the future Years!!!!

Great food and price... Includes salad bar. After riding my bicycle across the past month (Astoria, OR with the goal to reach Virginia Beach) , it was nice, after going to 3 other places, to find a place to sit and enjoy a meal in an air conditioned room.

Typical sports bar. Decor is very dated but the place is clean, the food is good! We had a hamburger. The French fries are fresh cut, not frozen. The salad bar is great!! The selection is varied, it's all cold, not luke warm!. We were just passing through & Googled places to eat. We chose this, we were not disappointed.

I hosted a fundraiser there and the people were great. Friendly service n great food.

Great breakfast, I like that they have Mexican food for breakfast! As for the dinner, it can be hit or miss sometimes depend on what night. They have the best wings in the town!

Friendly staff members. Prices are very reasonable. I recommend the buffet. There is one waitress who goes out of her way to help. Mo is what so people call her. But all around that is a great place to eat and watch sports

I've tried club sandwiches all over town , the best is @Time Out.
